Toy Camera Experiments

These are the two 'toy camera' photos that I shot with a disposable camera.

Panorama Visions

I have never shot a panorama before, so it was quite exciting seeing them come together. They are all shot in my grandma's backyard back home, and although she was upset that I did not do this whilst the yard was in bloom, I think she'll like how they turned out.

Pinhole Practice

Today I went out by the Red Cedar and took pictures to practice using a pinhole camera. It's a really interesting aesthetic.

Fast Seeing Selections

I've been having some issues coming up with ideas for fast seeing, but I am pretty pleased with how these turned out. Although I am still editing, of course.

Progress on Slow Seeing Mysterious

I am not sure if these are quite mysterious, but I think that have the plays with the shadows adds an element of disambiguation.

Progression on Slow Seeing Description

Here are the images I've been working on for the slow seeing part of the assignment. I was thinking of these as my descriptive images.

More HDR Practice

I kept making multiple HDR exposures, and these are the two for daytime and nighttime that I am the most happy with.

Further Work into Low Key/ High Key

I am still struggling to come up with a concept for the low key setting. I seem to find high key in abundance, which isn't a bad thing. I've been practicing making an HDR as well with decent success. At this point it is still pretty technical.

Working on High Key/ Low Key

As for now, high key is really jumping out at me. It's not perfect though, since I have bits of dark objects. I'm planning on reshooting the towels, and I might redo the blankets and sweaters in the middle to get a better arrangement. Hopefully it will make for a more interesting composition.

Exposure Test

This is one part of the exposure test. The rest is still in progress, which means more to come.
